Popular Nigerian On-Air Personality (OAP) Nedu Wazobia steps down from The Honest Bunch Podcast following a heated controversy involving social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman.

The drama began when reality TV star Deeone, during a podcast episode, suggested that Verydarkman had an interest in men. Rather than responding to the claims, Verydarkman redirected attention to Nedu, leaking private conversations and making allegations about his personal relationships.

As public scrutiny mounted, Nedu took to Instagram on Friday to announce his resignation, citing the need to protect his peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show.

Nedu’s Official Statement

In his heartfelt message, Nedu reflected on his journey with The Honest Bunch Podcast, acknowledging the toll that constant scrutiny and antagonism had taken on him.

Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcast has been an incredible journey—one built on open conversations, bold perspectives, and the willingness to tackle difficult topics. But with that responsibility has come overwhelming scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations,” he wrote.

Nedu explained that stepping back was a tough decision but necessary to distance himself from negativity.

“I sincerely hope this decision brings an end to the negativity surrounding my name and allows The Honest Bunch Podcast to continue thriving. I remain committed to fostering meaningful dialogue in other ways and look forward to new opportunities.

The Future of The Honest Bunch Podcast

Created by Glitch Africa in 2022, The Honest Bunch Podcast is co-hosted by Nedu, Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Ezinne. While Nedu’s departure marks a major shift, the show is expected to continue with the remaining hosts.

Fans have expressed mixed reactions, with some supporting his decision while others believe he should have weathered the controversy.

As Nedu Wazobia steps down, many are eager to see what’s next for the popular broadcaster and the podcast he helped shape.
