Nigerian midfielder Daniel Daga has finalized his three-year transfer from FC ONE Rocket to Norwegian Eliteserien team FK Molde. The 18-year-old has already started practicing with his new team after recently helping Enyimba advance to the CAF Confederation Cup group stage while on loan.

Molde CEO Øystein Neerland was thrilled to have signed the dynamic midfield player. Neerland stated on the club’s website, “We are thrilled to have brought in an exciting and talented player from Nigeria.”

Daniel is regarded as a fantastic talent and already has experience from the top league there. We’re excited to watch him grow in Molde and support him as he pursues new professional endeavors.

Before making his debut with FC ONE Rocket in the Nigeria National League season of 2021–2022, the Benue native advanced through the levels at Carabana Football Academy.

On social media, Nse Essien, his mentor and FC ONE Rocket President, who first noticed him as a schoolboy, praised the decision. “CONGRATS, SON… Essien wrote, “LET’S GO, MOLDE.”

Daga, who can play central defense, defensive midfield, and central midfield, has played for Nigeria at several junior levels. He won the 2022 WAFU B tournament before making appearances at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the U-20 AFCON.

In Tuesday’s friendly matchup with Traeff at the Aker Stadion, the gifted midfielder might make his debut for Molde, who were second in the Eliteserien the previous season.
