Victor Osimhen, a Galatasaray forward, has refuted charges that he assaulted a Turkish journalist, calling the accusations untrue and promising to take “necessary steps” against the person who made the accusation.
In the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday, Galatasaray defeated Konyaspor, and the Nigerian striker, who won the game, showed his displeasure with the news.
After the game against Konyaspor, Osimhen told reporters, “I will take the necessary steps.” Justice would win if I punched him. Justice will hold him responsible if he is lying.
After capturing the player’s photo without permission, the journalist claimed that Osimhen had attacked him.
The striker, however, vehemently denied the charge. He insisted, “The journalists are lying; I didn’t hit them.” “Why are you flashing my face? You should ask for permission to do an interview,” I told him. I instructed them to remove my pictures. I didn’t strike anyone. I simply approached them and spoke with them.
Osimhen also emphasized how accustomed he is to such circumstances and how he anticipates misleading narratives. “These situations are nothing new to me. I knew they would lie,” he stated.
