An unnamed member of the Lagos Division of the anti-graft organization’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has fallen and passed away.

A PUNCH The cop who was not in uniform slumped and died in an unnamed area of Lagos State on Sunday, Metro learned Monday via a video that was making the rounds online.

On camera, the officer’s lifeless body is surrounded by supporters, including a few police officers who organized a search of the deceased officer’s bag.

Once the search was completed, his identity card revealed that the individual was an EFCC officer.

In a phone call with our correspondent on Monday, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the officer’s death and revealed that the cause of death was being investigated.

The dude is indeed our cop. Investigations are underway into his demise. Sunday was the day of the event, according to Oyewale.
