A viral video on Thursday captured the moment music legend, Innocent Idibia—famously known as 2Baba—proposed to Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker from Edo State.

In the footage, the singer and the politician were seen sharing an intimate dance, much to the delight of their friends around them. Following the dance, 2Baba surprised Osawaru by presenting her with a ring, leading to a heartfelt embrace between the two.

This public display of affection comes just a day after 2Baba confirmed his romantic relationship with Osawaru, sparking a wave of reactions across social media.

The announcement follows 2Baba’s recent separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, with the artist expressing his desire to pursue a future with Osawaru. Rumors about their relationship had been swirling, particularly after 2Baba was spotted at the Edo State Assembly and a video surfaced of the two together at a Lagos club.

Addressing the growing speculations, 2Baba took to Instagram on Tuesday to clarify the situation. In the video, he stated, “There have been so many false narratives and malicious rumors circulating since I posted what I did. Yes, I shared that post.”

He continued, “Hon. Natasha has been unfairly dragged into this. She’s been called all sorts of names and branded as a homewrecker. But she is a bright, brilliant, and remarkable woman with no involvement in the issues between Annie and me.”

Acknowledging his feelings, he added, “Yes, I love her. She’s incredible, and I want to marry her.”
