
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden will visit Nigeria from Monday, April 7, to Wednesday, April 9, 2025. The visit aims to boost diplomatic and economic relations between both countries.
During her stay, she will hold high-level meetings with key Nigerian officials. These include the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the Governor of Lagos State.
One major highlight is the opening of the Swedish Trade Office in Lagos. This move signals a stronger push for trade and investment between Nigeria and Sweden.
The visit reflects the close and growing ties between the two nations. Both countries want to expand cooperation in trade, sustainability, gender equality, and culture.
Before the trip, Crown Princess Victoria attended a briefing at the Royal Palace. She met with Minister Andreas Carlson and Görrel Espelund from the Swedish Institute of International Affairs to prepare for the visit.
Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the visit. Officials see it as a key moment for deeper collaboration and mutual progress.
