Multichoice has announced another price increase for its DStv and GOtv packages, set to take effect from March 1, 2025. This comes nearly a year after its last price review.

In a statement to customers on Monday titled “Price adjustments for DStv and GOtv packages,” the company explained that the hike was necessary to maintain the quality of its content and technology.

“Dear Customer, please note that effective 1 March 2025, there will be a price adjustment on all DStv packages. This is to enable us to continue to offer our customers world-class homegrown and international content, delivered through the best technology,” the statement read.

With the new pricing structure, the DStv Compact bouquet will increase from N15,700 to N19,000, the Compact Plus will rise to N30,000, and the Premium subscription will go up to N44,500.

For GOtv customers, the new rates will see GOtv Jinja move from N3,600 to N3,900, while GOtv Plus will increase from N4,850 to N5,800. GOtv Max will now cost N8,500, the Supa package will be N11,400, and the Supa Plus will be priced at N16,800.

Multichoice, the parent company of DStv and GOtv, attributed the price hike to rising operational costs in Nigeria. The company cited currency depreciation and high inflation as key factors affecting its business expenses.
