Afrobeats whiz, David Adeleke, famously known as Davido has celebrated his colleague, Tems, after she won the Most Excellent African Music Execution category at the 67th Grammy Grants on Sunday.
Taking to social media within the early hours of Monday, the award-winning artist saluted Tems on her triumph over solid competitors, counting Yemi Alade, Asake, Burna Boy, and himself.
Tems secured the Grammy with her hit tune Love Me Jeje, checking her moment win after already winning a Grammy for her contribution to Future’s chart-topping single Wait For U.
The Most Excellent African Music Execution category was exceedingly competitive, highlighting Yemi Alade’s Tomorrow, Asake’s MMS, Chris Brown’s Outstanding (including Davido & Lojay), and Burna Boy’s Higher. Outstandingly, all the candidates were Nigerian craftsmen, strengthening the country’s dominance on the worldwide music scene.
Davido communicated his deference and pride, composing: “Congratulations to my one and only! #chrisbrown! And to the Queen@temsbaby, we are proud of you!”
