The Cross River State Government has urged Nigerians, particularly Cross Riverians, to support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Bassey Otu’s initiatives.

State Commissioner for Information Dr Erasmus Ekpang made the call during the 65th Independence Anniversary celebration in Calabar.

Ekpang said the anniversary theme, “Nigeria@65: all hands on deck for a greater nation,” aligns with Governor Otu’s “People First” Agenda.

He highlighted the governor’s legacy projects, including educational reforms, agricultural policies, and youth empowerment initiatives.

The Commissioner also noted that Governor Otu has invested in security, healthcare, aviation expansion, and wealth creation initiatives. He cited the recent ₦800 million grant distributed to 400 farmers and the attraction of the Federal Government’s Special Agro-Processing Zone project to the state.

Ekpang called for all hands to be on deck to achieve a better Cross River State and a greater Nigerian nation. He expressed confidence that the state will emerge as one of the best in Africa in the next few years.
