The Nigeria Police Force has addressed rumors about the revival of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), affirming that SARS remains permanently dissolved. In a statement issued on Monday, Force Public Relations Officer ACP Muyiwa Adejobi clarified that any circulating information about the reformation of SARS or new rules of engagement should be treated with caution.

ACP Adejobi stressed the importance of public awareness and vigilance, emphasizing that safety and accurate information are essential for citizens. He also stressed the need for Nigerians to be aware of their environment as some of these people only pose as force agents to extort money from Nigerian citizens.
